Frequently Asked Questions About HydraFacials
We can do the treatment in as little as 30 minutes.
Because HydraFacials are so gentle on your skin, it doesn’t require much preparation. But there are several things you can do to make sure you don’t have a negative reaction to any of the boosters or the procedure itself.
- Avoid sun exposure for 1 week prior to treatment and use SPF 30 daily to ensure coverage against
UVB and UBA rays. - Don’t use harsh exfoliants for 1 week before your treatment.
- Discontinue use of Tretinoin-type products and Hydroquinine at least 2-3 days prior to treatment.
- If you have a history of cold sores, consider prophylactic treatment no later than the day before your HydraFacial.
- Botox and fillers injected up to 2 weeks prior is not recommended.
- Notify the center if you develop a cold sore, acne, or open lesions in the treated area.
Immediately following your appointment, you may wear makeup, but keep your skin dry (no washing or sweating) for the next six hours to allow the boosters time to sink into your skin. Wait 2 days to resume all normal skincare routines.
As a healthy skin habit, continue to avoid sun exposure or wear SPF 30+ to protect yourself from UVB and UVA rays.
The treatment is very gentle and not painful. Most people say it’s very relaxing.
