Plan Ahead (Perfect Derma Peel)

The Perfect Derma™ Peel at North Texas MedSpa

Erase wrinkles, sun damage, acne, and more!

People have used chemicals on their faces to achieve smooth, younger-looking skin for centuries. Today, it’s one of the most common and popular facial treatments available, and The Perfect Derma™ Peel has perfected it!

Chemical peels work by slowly exfoliating the top layers of skin to promote cell turnover and collagen production.

This results in:

✦ Smooth and even skin texture,

✦ Less visible fine lines, wrinkles, pores, and scars

✦ Acne treatment and prevention

✦ Even skin tone and improvement in hyperpigmentation and sun damage

Best of all, The Perfect Derma™ Peel is safe, virtually painless, and suitable for all skin types and ethnicities!

Who Should Get
The Perfect Derma™ Peel?

If you are experiencing any of the issues listed above, you may be a great candidate for this effective medium-depth chemical peel.

The Perfect Derma™ Peel and other professional chemical peels are more effective than those you can buy and use at home. That’s part of what makes them work so much better. But because of that, you should discuss sensitivities and previous damage with your technician beforehand due to the stronger potency.

Fortunately, most people of any skin type, age, and ethnicity will likely see beautiful results from this treatment.

What Makes The Perfect Derma™ Peel Different?

Most chemical peels are formulated with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BTAs). Peels that affect a deeper skin level often include trichloroacetic acid (TCA), a more potent chemical that reduces or eliminates advanced wrinkling, sun damage, acne, and scars.

The Perfect Derma™ Peel combines TCA with Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid,  Kojic Acid, Phenol, and Vitamin C. It is also the only professional chemical peel on the market that contains Glutathione, a powerful anti-aging antioxidant.

Glutathione is naturally made in your cells that is important for many of your body’s functions. One of them is building and repairing tissue. Unfortunately, as you age, your body produces less glutathione.

Luckily, you can still get it from supplements and topical agents. It’s a highly effective and crucial ingredient in this chemical peel because it helps to repair and rejuvenate your skin for a brighter, more radiant complexion.

Frequently Asked Questions About
The Perfect Derma™ Peel

Some people experience a light tingling or stinging sensation when the product is first spread across the skin. However, that typically only lasts for 30-60 seconds.

You should see dramatic results after just your first treatment! After your skin has finished sloughing, it will be clearer, smoother, and brighter.

However, deep wrinkles, advanced acne, and more severe sun damage and scarring may require multiple treatments before your results are as dramatic as you want.

Depending on your skin condition and goals, you may need additional treatments four weeks apart until you see the most dramatic results.

We also recommend getting a professional chemical peel every 3-6 months to maintain healthy, clear skin.

Immediately following treatment, your skin will likely be red or darker, as if you have a sunburn. Within three days, your skin will start to peel and slough. It will continue to peel for up to four more days. Your skin should be completely healed by day 6 or 7 following treatment.

For more details on what to expect and how to ensure you get the best results, please read our pre- and post-treatment instructions, and ask your technician if you have any questions.

Yes, with very few exceptions. The Perfect Derma™ Peel is appropriate for all skin types and ethnicities.

However, there may be skin conditions that prevent some people from being able to receive treatment. Please discuss your skin and health history with your technician before treatment if you have concerns.

The Perfect Derma™ Peel requires no preconditioning. However, if you use Accutane or other retinoid-type products, you must stop for 2-3 days and up to 4 months before treatment to increase results and prevent undesirable side effects.

You should also avoid sun exposure and hair removal treatments for 1 week before your peel to ensure your skin is healthy and damage-free.
