Erase blemishes and revitalize your skin

Plan ahead for Professional Chemical Peel

Skinceuticals Chemical Peel

A professional chemical peel for cleaner, smoother skin

Regardless of your age or gender, most people would love to see clearer, more youthful-looking skin when they look in the mirror. A Skinceuticals Chemical can give you that result in as little as one treatment!

A chemical peel is a treatment where a chemical serum is applied to your face that causes the skin to exfoliate and eventually shed your top layer of skin to reveal softer, smoother skin underneath. This treatment is especially good at evening skin tone by removing pigmented blemishes. It can help treat many common facial skin issues, including acne, sun damage, age spots and even fine lines.

North Texas MedSpa uses Skinceuticals Custom Chemical Peels, a medium-depth professional chemical peel tested and used by dermatologists and other skin experts.

Skinceuticals Chemical Peel for Acne and Aging

A professional chemical peel can drastically reduce or even eliminate the skin problems that most of us deal with at some point in our lives.

For Acne

For those who suffer from acne, a Skinceuticals Chemical Peel will give you cleaner skin than you can get from products alone. It will:

  • Treat and heal active breakouts,
  • Clean congested, oily skin,
  • Improve redness and inflammation, and
  • Reduce and prevent visible scarring.

For Aging

A professional chemical peel is also a fantastic, non-invasive solution for the signs of aging, damage, or genetic imperfections. It will improve:

  • Sun-damage,
  • Age spots,
  • Melasma and hyperpigmentation, and
  • Fine lines and wrinkles.

Is a professional chemical peel
right for you?

A chemical peel is right for anybody who has mild to significant issues of skin tone or texture, resulting from acne, aging or other medical conditions. Between the different products, a professional chemical peel works for all skin types, from light to dark, and for people with sensitive skin.

The Skinceuticals Chemical Peel that we use is a medium-depth peel, which means that it is stronger than what you can buy at the store, but are not so strong that they require long down-time. You will experience some redness and sensitivity after the treatment, but that typically subsides within 5-7 days, and most normal activities can still be done.

Frequently Asked Questions About the
Skinceuticals Chemical Peel

The number of treatments you will need depends on the severity of your skin condition.

For minimal or shallow imperfections, you may see the results you want in just one treatment. For more advanced, deeper skin conditions, you may require up to 4-6 treatments four weeks apart for maximum results.

To achieve long-lasting results, we recommend getting a professional chemical peel every 3-6 months.

You may feel a mild stinging sensation while the chemical agent or pre-treating astringent is being applied, but this typically subsides within a few minutes.

Many professional chemical peels include a numbing agent that reduces any discomfort quickly and efficiently.

In the first few days, you will probably experience red or darker skin, as if you have a sunburn. Once your skin begins sloughing, it may peel for up to 4-5 days.

Most people’s skin is fully recovered in 7-10 days. However, some people do experience skin sensitivity for up to two weeks post-treatment.

To get the most out of your chemical peel and avoiding undesirable side effects, please read our pre- and post-procedure instructions before your treatment, and ask your technician if you have any questions.

For the first few days after your treatment, you should avoid all makeup and any products unless recommended by your technician, such as sunscreen. On the second day of the peeling process, you may begin to wear light makeup again, unless your technician advises against it.

However, for best results while your skin peels, it is best to keep it clean and free of any residue or other chemicals so that it may properly exfoliate and heal.
