Plan Ahead for Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose Vein Treatment in Colleyville

Remove pesky varicose and spider veins easily and efficiently.

If you’ve noticed small, visible veins or blotchy red spots on your legs, they are probably varicose and/or spider veins. While typically harmless, they may make you feel less confident about showing your legs.

That said, varicose veins may be a symptom of something more serious or lead to complications in the future. We recommend that you visit your physician before seeking varicose vein treatment.

There are many different reasons people may develop varicose and spider veins on their legs, feet, or even face. These can include:

  • Age
  • Genetics
  • Activity level or occupation
  • Being overweight
  • Pregnancy
  • Gender
  • Certain health conditions

Fortunately, we can diminish or eliminate those unsightly areas with just a few treatments using our elōs™ Laser Treatment system.

How elōs Laser Treatment Works

Unlike other invasive or tissue-damaging vein treatments, Candela’s elōs Plus (which stands for electrical optical synergy) uses laser light and bi-polar radio frequency to diminish or eliminate the appearance of varicose and spider veins.

Using a cold heat, the laser targets the damaged vein and seals it off. When the blood flow is blocked, the offending vein becomes less noticeable immediately.

With further treatment and/or time, your body’s natural processes removes the now unnecessary tissue. The discoloration will be significantly reduced or eliminated completely.

The best part is, because elōs™ is completely non-invasive, there’s usually no downtime. Recovery is immediate for most clients, and side effects are extremely rare.

Frequently Asked Questions About Varicose Vein Treatment

Depending on the depth and severity of varicose and spider veins, many people see an immediate improvement. For best results, we typically recommend 1-4 treatments.

Because the elōs™ Laser Treatment uses a cold heat that monitors your skin temperature as it works, most people only report a prickling sensation or mild discomfort.

If you have a history of being more sensitive to laser treatments, please discuss that with your technician before treatment.

Most people are excellent candidates for laser varicose vein treatment. However, some contraindications include pregnancy, cardiac issues, or infections or skin problems in the treatment area. Your technician will go over your health history and assess the site before confirming that treatment is appropriate for you.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for varicose or spider veins. If they are caused by standing on your feet too frequently or excess weight, lifestyle changes may diminish or prevent their formation. However, some people are simply more prone to developing them, regardless of their health or lifestyle.

While varicose and spider vein treatment will correct current issues, it cannot prevent new ones from forming in the future.

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for 1-2 weeks before and 2 weeks after treatment.

Disclose all medications, topical and oral, before treatment to avoid unfortunate side effects.
